The beauty of the Bank for a Cause program is that you can select from over one million charities nationwide. As long as the charity is a registered 501(c)3 in good standing, you can choose to support that charity.

In our local communities, a number of organizations have chosen to participate in Bank for a Cause. Click on the state list you wish to view. If you find an organization that appeals to you and would like to find more information on the charity, simply click the charity name and you will be directed to their web site.

How do I find out more about charities?

If your favorite charity does not appear on the list of participating organizations, you still have the opportunity to select any qualified 501(c)3 organization as your charity of choice. There are valuable resources online which will help you to research charities and select the one that means the most to you.

Better Business Bureau Visit this site for information on the National Charity Reports Index. This index rates national charities on 20 standards for charity accountability. In addition it provides information on the charity’s programs, tax status, fund raising efforts and financial information.

Network For Good Through this site, you can research charities and gather information such as the charity’s address, EIN number, and financial information.

Charity Navigator This site uses a four-star rating system for charities and provides valuable financial information.

GuideStar This site provides free access to individuals to research charities. With free access, basic information is available to the user.

If you select a charity not on the participation list, or you wish for contributions to be directed to a local chapter of a national organization, complete the Charity Selection Form. This form provides Liberty the information necessary to allow your cause to receive contributions from the Bank.
